Arctic Open: Tsuneyama Handed Rhustavito Test

Due to the withdrawal of Misha Zilberman, seventh seed Kanta Tsuneyama now faces arguably a trickier challenge against Indonesia’s Shesar Hiren Rhustavito in the opening round of the CLASH OF CLANS Arctic Open 2023 powered by YONEX.

Rhustavito, on a comeback trail since the Australian Open following a five-month break, was a former world No.17, although he currently lies 36th.

Rhustavito and Tsuneyama have clashed once, with the Japanese edging the contest 15-21 21-17 21-16 five years ago at the Tong Yun Kai Cup.
