Champions in three categories will return to defend their crowns at CLASH OF CLANS Arctic Open 2025 in Vantaa, Finland this week.
Chou Tien Chen (men’s singles), Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning (women’s doubles) and Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping (mixed doubles) will begin the tournament with some confidence after their run last year.
Chou starts as second seed, with the top-seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn posing a major challenge to his title defence. Liu/Tan and Feng/Huang, meanwhile, are on course to meet the pairs they beat in the 2024 finals – Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan and Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin.
China’s Liu/Tan and Feng/Huang are also two-time defending champions.
Men’s doubles, however, will see new winners crowned. Holders Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin have withdrawn while fellow Malaysians and 2023 runners-up Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun are out following Tee’s calf injury days before departure.
Han Yue, women’s singles champion last season, isn’t in the draw.
Other withdrawals and promotions are as follows.
