Indonesia Masters: Hosts Test New Pairings

Indonesia will field two new women’s doubles pairings at DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2026 as they continue their search for improved results in the discipline.

The fresh combinations are Lanny Tria Mayasari/Apriyani Rahayu and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. Rahayu, champion of the 2020 edition alongside Greysia Polii, faces a tough opening round assignment against eighth seeds Bao Li Jing/Li Yi Jing, themselves a newly-formed partnership.

The 2025 season saw Indonesia’s lowest return in terms of HSBC BWF World Tour titles in two years – with victories at Thailand Masters and Australian Open. In contrast, the previous season saw women’s doubles deliver four World Tour titles for the host nation.

Indonesia will also be without India Open runner-up Jonatan Christie, the men’s singles third seed having withdrawn after two demanding weeks in Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi. Top seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn and sixth seed Kodai Naraoka have also pulled out of the tournament.
