Temporarily-split mixed doubles partners Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei could face each other in the YONEX Taipei Open 2025 final with their respective new partners.
Toh and Loo Bing Kun are in the top half of the draw and will now open their campaign against a pair from the qualification round instead of Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil following the pullout of top seeds Yang Po Hsuan and Hu Ling Fang, which triggered a reshuffle under the Seed Withdrawal Movement. Yang, due to injury, will also skip the men’s doubles (with Lee Jhe Huei).
Chen, competing in the bottom half with Chan Wen Tse, take on Hong Kong China’s Lui Chun Wai and Fu Chi Yan in the first round.
Chen and Toh will play one more event – home tournament Malaysia Masters – with their current partners before resuming their collaboration at the Singapore Open.
